This print is the companion piece to the Triglav Bench. The client wanted the work to reflect their love of the Slovenian Mountains. I chose to focus on the Hayrack. As this specific way of drying hay is endemic to the area. I found it helpful to use this more focused subject as a way to show the rest of the mountains, otherwise it would have been quite a daunting task. Representing a whole majestic mountain range in a print is, at this point, beyond my skill set. I was also inspired by Czech woodcuts which often depicted similar subject matters.
